APAKAH ITU KEJURUTERAAN DAN TEKNOLOGI?
Sains, kejuruteraan dan teknologi adalah kait mengait. Sains adalah penyiasatan atau pun kajian sesuatu fenomena menggun teknik formal seperti kaedah saintifik. Kejuruteraan pula adalah proses merekabentuk dan membuat peralatan dan sistem dengan mengeksploitasi fenomena semula jadi untuk kegunaan manusia, selalunya menggunakan keputusan-keputusan dan dan teknik-teknik sains.
Teknologi tidak semestinya sentiasa produk sains kerana teknologi perlu memenuhi keperluan seperti utiliti, kebolehgunaan, dan keselamatan. Pembangunan teknologi bergantung kepada pelbagai bidang ilmu, termasuk sains, kejuruteraan, matematik, bahasa dan sejarah bagi mencapai suatu keputusan yang praktikal.
Bidang umum kejuruteraan merangkumi subbidang-subbidang seperti Kejuruteraan Elektrik, Kejuruteraan Elektronik, Kejuruteraan Perhubungan, Kejuruteraan Komputer, Kejuruteraan Mekanikal, Kejuruteraan Awam, Kejuruteraan Persekitaran, Kejuruteraan Kimia, Kejuruteraan Bioproses, Kejuruteraan Biologi dan lain-lain.
Seseorang yang mempraktik kejuruteran digelar jurutera, dan seseorang yang dilesen berbuat begitu akan diberi gelaran formal 'Professional Engineer', 'Chartered Engineer' atau 'Incorporated Engineer'. Sesorang jurutera boleh bekerja dalam kegiatan Rekabentuk, Pembekalan, Pembinaan, Penyelidikan dan Pembangunan, Pemprosesan, Pembuatan, Perkhidmatan dan Penyenggraan, dan Pemasaran dan Penjualan.
KEJURUTERAAN DAN TEKNOLOGI DI INSANIAH
Kolej Universiti INSANIAH kini menawar program-program ijazah sarjana muda berikut;
B.Tech. dalam Teknologi Kejuruteraan Komputer (KA9808)
B.Eng.dalam Kejuruteraan Elektronik (KA9807)
B.Eng. dalam Kejuruteraan Telekomunikasi (KA9944)
B.Eng. dalam Kejuruteraan Sistem Komputer (KA9945)
Keperluan bergraduat adalah seperti dalam jadual dibawah. Pelajar program B.Tech. perlu mengumpul 132 unit kredit untuk bergraduat ia itu 34 unit kusus-kursus teras umum universiti dan 98 unit kursus-kursus major. Sebaliknya, pelajar B.Eng. perlu mengumpul 138 unit kredit untuk bergraduat, 104 unit kursus-kursus major dan 34 unit kusus-kursus teras universiti.

Keperluan Khas
Mempunyai STPM atau setara dengan sekurang-kurangnya gred C dalam Matematik dan Fizik / Kimia,
ATAU
Mempunyai Sijil Matrikulasi atau setara dengan CGPA/PMK 2.0 sekurang-kurangnya,
ATAU
Mempunyai Sijil Diploma atau setara yang diiktiraf Senat INSANIAH.
